Camera systems on front loaders consist of up to three cameras. A camera is mounted on the counterweight or cabin roof to monitor the rear area. It is automatically activated as soon as the driver reverses. Other cameras can be found on the lift mast and on the bottom outside edge of the mast to give a view of the aisle.

The benefits for you

  • Clear view into the aisle, even with high-volume load
  • Reversing camera activates automatically
  • Reduced approach and shunting damage

Fitted on the inside of the right-hand fork or on the free stroke, Motec cameras (fork or compact cameras) are always at the height of the load, thus allowing for fast and reliable handling of pallets in high bay storage racks. The 50 degree view angle also gives the driver visibility of both forks.

The benefits for you

  • No blind spot - fewer accidents
  • Saves and rapid handling of pallets in high bay storage racks
  • Reduced shunting and handling damage

A motor zoom camera gives the crane driver a clear view of the load hook. The MC5200 is fitted with a suspended mount to the point of the crane outrigger, which keeps it perpendicular at all times. The operator can zoom into the loading area when loading and unloading the ship. He can see which loads to pick up and who is moving or standing around the hook. There are other cameras monitoring critical points such as the engine/generator compartment (overheating, smouldering fires, etc.) and the travelway. A special video controller sends the camera signals to the works control units or displays via a CAN bus.

The benefits for you

  • Direct visibility of the hull of the ship
  • Precise control of the outrigger and optimum control of the load hook
  • Faster and more reliable handling
  • Prevent failures/downtime
  • Open interface - compatible with CAN bus controller
  • Reduced accidents and shunting damage

A camera is set up on the twistlocks and enables fast, safe handling of the containers. The images are transferred to two colour monitors so that the driver can position the containers with millimetre accuracy. As an option, the system can also be fitted with a reverse camera.

The benefits for you

  • Faster turnaround, safer handling
  • Accurate pick-up and put-down of containers - positioning without correction
  • Better overview of whether twistlocks need locking
