Example of mobile harbour crane
A motor zoom camera gives the crane driver a clear view of the load hook. The MC5200 is fitted with a suspended mount to the point of the crane outrigger, which keeps it perpendicular at all times. The operator can zoom into the loading area when loading and unloading the ship. He can see which loads to pick up and who is moving or standing around the hook. There are other cameras monitoring critical points such as the engine/generator compartment (overheating, smouldering fires, etc.) and the travelway. A special video controller sends the camera signals to the works control units or displays via a CAN bus.
